How Car Seat Rides Work

2. Tell us about your kids
Each child’s age and weight, so we bring the right seat for each one.
3. Seats installed before pickup
Your chauffeur installs them before arriving, so you’re not waiting at the curb.
4. Check and go
Take a look, buckle in and go. You’re always welcome to adjust the straps yourself.
Which Seat Does My Child Need?
We carry all three kinds of seats: rear-facing, forward-facing and booster. As a general guide, babies and young toddlers ride rear-facing, older toddlers and preschoolers ride forward-facing with a harness, and school-age kids ride in a booster until the adult seat belt fits properly.
Seat makers set the exact height and weight limits for each stage, so tell us each child’s age and weight when you book and we’ll bring the right seat.
New York State law requires children to ride in an appropriate child restraint until their eighth birthday. In the city, yellow taxis are exempt from that rule. We follow it anyway, because it’s the safe thing to do.
